eGunas gives Hyderabad students from Class 1 to Class 10 one-to-one lessons online with certified human teachers, for the CBSE, ICSE or State Board syllabus. Children join from home over the internet. eGunas has no centre in Hyderabad, tutors do not visit homes, and Telugu is not one of the subjects eGunas teaches.

Telugu from Class 1, in every school in Telangana
The Telangana (Compulsory Teaching and Learning of Telugu in Schools) Act, 2018 (Act No. 10 of 2018) makes Telugu a compulsory subject from Class 1 to Class 10 in all schools in the state. It was introduced at Class 1 in primary schools and Class 6 in high schools from the 2018–19 academic year and extended to further classes in phases.
The Act also says that every school must follow the textbooks prescribed by the state government for this, so Telugu at a Hyderabad school uses the state’s books rather than ones chosen by the school or its board.

National and international boards are named in the Act
Telangana’s Act addresses this directly: schools affiliated to CBSE, ICSE, the International Baccalaureate or Cambridge boards in the state must implement Telugu as the Act provides. A CBSE or IB school in Hyderabad is not exempt because its main syllabus comes from a national or international board.

What eGunas can help a Hyderabad child with
eGunas does not teach Telugu. For a CBSE student it teaches Mathematics, Science, English, Hindi and Social Studies; for an ICSE student, Mathematics, Science, English, and History & Civics. Coding courses such as Scratch Programming are open to children on any board.
If your child is at a Telangana State Board school, where the Directorate of Government Examinations conducts the SSC Public Examinations at the end of Class 10, check the syllabus before booking: eGunas State Board courses cover Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, but the catalogue does not name which state boards they follow. Ask at the free demo class.
