Online Tutoring in Bengaluru for Classes 1 to 10
eGunas teaches children in Bengaluru, also known as Bangalore, online and one to one, from Class 1 to Class 10, with certified human teachers following the CBSE, ICSE or State Board syllabus. Lessons take place from home over the internet. There is no eGunas centre in Bengaluru, tutors do not visit homes, and eGunas does not teach Kannada.

Kannada is a required language in every Karnataka school
The Kannada Language Learning Act, 2015 (Karnataka Act No. 22 of 2015) requires Kannada to be taught as a compulsory language in all classes and all schools in the state, either as the first language or the second. Schools that were not already doing so had to introduce it at Standard I from the 2015–16 academic year and extend it upwards class by class, so that it reaches every standard from I to X.
So from a child’s first year at school through to Class 10, Kannada is part of the timetable, not something added later.

What changed for CBSE and ICSE schools in 2024
A school needs a no-objection certificate from Karnataka’s school education department to be affiliated to CBSE or ICSE. Rules notified in June 2024 for issuing that certificate require private CBSE and ICSE schools to teach Kannada as a first or second language. On 9 July 2024 the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations told its member schools to follow the state rule.
If your family has moved to Bengaluru from another state, your child may therefore meet Kannada as a full school language for the first time, whatever board the school follows.
Where eGunas fits, and where it does not
eGunas does not teach Kannada, so it cannot help with that part of the timetable. Its language courses are English for CBSE and ICSE students and Hindi for CBSE students, alongside Mathematics, Science and the other catalogue subjects.
If your child is at a Karnataka State Board school, where the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) conducts the SSLC examination at the end of Class 10, check the syllabus before booking. eGunas State Board courses cover Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, but the catalogue does not name which state boards they follow, so ask at the free demo class.
