School hours that change with Jaipur’s weather
Jaipur’s District Collector adjusts the school day when the weather turns extreme. From 22 April 2025, classes up to Class 8 in Jaipur’s government and private schools ran from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM because of the heat, Amar Ujala reported, and a similar order moved pre-primary to Class 8 to 7:30 AM–12:00 PM from 27 April 2026.
Cold brings the opposite. In January 2026 the Collector gave pre-primary to Class 5 a holiday from 6 to 10 January, and Classes 6 to 8 from 6 to 8 January.
None of these orders changes an eGunas lesson, which is online and booked at a time you choose rather than tied to school hours.
The school year now starts in April
Rajasthan Board students and Class 10
The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, based in Ajmer, conducts the Secondary examination that Rajasthan Board students take at the end of Class 10; the 2026 result was announced on 24 March 2026.
eGunas State Board courses cover Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, but the catalogue does not name which state boards they follow. If your child is at a Rajasthan Board school, confirm at the free demo class that the lessons match the syllabus.
